Vụ lùm xùm gần đây là Hoa hậu California, khi vào đến chung kết cuộc thi hoa hậu Mỹ thì bốc thăm phải câu hỏi liên quan tới đồng giới.

Giám khảo đặt câu hỏi là một người công khai xu hướng tình dục đồng giới của mình. Vậy thì sẽ phải làm thế nào khi Carrie Prejean nghĩ rằng mình không ủng hộ đám cưới đồng giới? Nếu cô ấy khiến giám khảo hài lòng, vương miện Mỹ sẽ thuộc về cô ấy.
